Rodney B. film premiere

[Wasted]

Mayor of the Sunset Strip documentary about Rodney Bingenheimer premiered at the Los Angeles film festival on June 17 & 19. I think both Cherie and Joan are in the film, but I don't know for certain. Rodney was always a great supporter of The Runaways.

Los Angeles Times The ultimate rock fan
Bingenheimer's life, in fact, is a veritable who's who of rock 'n' roll, and those who speak of him with gratitude and devotion, in addition to Cher, include Nancy Sinatra, Debbie Harry, Joan Jett, Courtney Love and David Bowie. The late Lance Loud, eldest son of the family profiled in PBS' groundbreaking 1970s TV series "An American Family," aptly compares Bingenheimer's personality and modus operandi to Andy Warhol's.

Both Cherie and Joan are listed in the "Featuring:" column under credits at the official website.

Thanks Wasted. I've seen that title listed on Cherie's resume and wondered what it was.
Maybe a video release will be forthcoming.
We can always hope!

Your wish will probably be granted...

There are a couple reviews of the movie (from the premiere) at a Tori Amos fan site. One of the reviews says:
"During the question and answer period following screening, the director mentioned that it will be released on DVD later, so keep an eye peeled."

...but probably not until after the Toronto Festival

Wasn't Rodney B. in some 60's band? I think I heard that somewhere.

Here is an article which will answer that question bystandyr.
